He's runs The Sartorialist and modernized street style photography. She is a fashion illustrator turned blogger, turned fashion media trendsetter. They live, what I imagine, to be a perfect life in downtown Manhattan.

OK, OK. I love ONE celebrity couple.... Give me a break! Olivia and Johannes are to the fashion world what Jay-Z and Beyonce are to the popular music world.

Lovers and lovers of plaid, these two lumberjack lovebirds are amazing designers.

The incredibly amazing fashion photography duo! As it turns out most of my magazine tears are spreads they've shot.

Things I Think I Need In My Closet Right NOW...

Thursday, December 13, 2012

One would think that the holiday season would shift my shopping concentration to family and friends... but it does the exact opposite! The more retailers push their gift messages, the more it makes me want to shop for myself.

Dear Santa,

Will you let my excessive self-absorbedness slide this time? I need the following...

The Apartment Hunt... Continues

Monday, December 10, 2012

Finding an apartment in Silverlake with wooden floors, parking and on-site laundry is just as likely as coming across a vintage Oscar De La Renta dress at your local Good Will. Still... I'm persistant. I refuse to live anywhere else!

Here are a few decorative interiors I've been drooling over.

To Turban or Not to Turban... (probably part 1)

Saturday, December 8, 2012

Some time last year I read an article in the Wall Street Journal on Eleanor Lambert (whom I flat out, without a doubt, greatly admire). She was wearing a faux fur turban accented by a very stylish bow at the center, statement earrings, and even a pearl necklace. It carried the perfect amounts of chic and ridiculousness I love about fashion. But could I style it with an equally intimidating confidence as my idol? Is styling a turban insensitive? Could I run the risk of getting things thrown at moi? I don't feel that way when people wear ponchos!

Convinced that I would get sufficient eye rolls to ruin my day, I put it off. But every now and then I ask myself... could I be turban girl? Could this stylish accessory be the one to define me? Then I get honked at by what seems like cars in all directions. Can you blame me? Traffic in Los Angeles is made for daydreaming.

When Cowboy Meets Imelda

Monday, December 3, 2012

Who hasn't fallen in love with Isabel Marant's glam readaptation of the cowboy boot?

Me, me, me! With a price like $1,490... I (quite naturally) combed the ends of the internet in search for the perfect copycat in my price range to accommodate my expensive tastes. I'm just not the type of person to let four little (scary) digits get me down.

In a place where my love of a great vintage book meets my love of a fantastic modern shoe (meets a rainy backdrop), I introduce you to the "The Chelsea" (bebe, $179).

Anyway, besos. Gotta run.

xoxo,

A blog started by a girlish woman. A place where her opinions and thoughts manifest into ill-written music reviews, possibly ridiculous style obsessions and troublesome (sometimes disturbing) life lessons (sometimes turned essays).

My deepest apologies if I disappoint you.
